| When I applied my second (or third) coating of Varathane, the product started to wrinkle and blister. What’s going on? | | The only way that wrinkling occurs is when the surface of the coating is dry but the coating is not dry all of the way through. Then when the next coat is applied it attacks the dry surface to try to adhere to it and the first coating moves on the wet layer underneath. This can be caused by a number of things like high temperatures, dry conditions, fans blowing on the surface and exceeding the recommended spread rate. |
