New Safer Choice Label to Increase Product Safety Awareness

Rust-Oleum’s Krud Kutter Product Line Features New EPA Logo

Safer Choice logo changesVernon Hills, Ill. July 7, 2015 – Rust-Oleum - a leading global coatings manufacturer – announces that the Krud Kutter line of cleaning products continues its partnership with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) through packaging updates with the Agency’s new Safer Choice logo. The logo update on qualifying Krud Kutter products will help consumers quickly and easily identify safer cleaning products.

The original strict standards of the EPA still ensure that products under the program are safer options for your home, office, or workplace.  The label identifies safer chemical ingredients, superior performance and packaging, and full ingredient disclosure.  Each ingredient is carefully reviewed and only the safest are permitted in products featuring the Safer Label seal.

“Krud Kutter strives to produce not only the most effective products, but also the safest products to use in your home and community,” says Melissa Grimm, Senior Brand Manager, Rust-Oleum. “Our Krud Kutter collection has always achieved EPA standards, but the new Safer Choice label will more effectively display that achievement to consumers.”

The Safer Choice label is featured on Rust-Oleum’s Krud Kutter line of Original Cleaner/Degreaser, Tough Task Remover, and Instant Carpet Cleaner/Stain Remover.  The new logo is easier to recognize for a streamlined shopping experience while still ensuring a trusted product approved by this nationwide program. Consumers can expect to see the new Safer Choice label coming to stores this summer.  For more information on specific Safer Choice Standards, visit the EPA website.
