Rust-Oleum Recognized As Kenosha Business Of The Year
Vernon Hills, Ill., Oct. 22, 2013 – The Kenosha Area Business Alliance (KABA) and the Kenosha Area Chamber of Commerce has awarded Rust-Oleum as this year’s Kenosha County Business of the Year. The company was recognized for its continuous investment in the community. KABA and the Kenosha Area Chamber will recognize Rust-Oleum on Thursday, November 7 at the 2013 Kenosha County Business Excellence Awards Ceremony.
The selection of Rust-Oleum was based upon criteria that included history of growth in sales and employment, the introduction of innovative new products and services along with community engagement and overall economic impact on the community. Rust-Oleum has added over 50 new jobs to its manufacturing facility in the last year and through its Rust-Oleum Cares efforts has donated hundreds of hours of volunteer time to local charities.
We are honored to be chosen as this year’s Kenosha Business of the Year, said Tom Reed, president and chief operating officer of Rust-Oleum. Rust-Oleum is committed to giving back to communities through monetary and volunteer donations and we appreciate the Kenosha Area Chamber of Commerce and KABA's recognition for the positive impact our program has had in Kenosha.
This is the ninth year Kenosha has recognized an organization as its Business of the Year. The awards program in its current form has taken place since 2005.
