  1. This review is regarding those who used this product on clothing

    By Arietta

The reviewers that took off stars for an odd finish on clothing clearly did not read the instructions properly. The product is not meant for clothing!!

  2. not very good for fabrics

    By 88tlc

the neverwet really changes the look and feel of a pair of pants or jacket. while it works, it changes a pant surface to a frosted white, that is rough and somewhat chalky feeling.

it also does not stand up to a wash.

  3. NeverWet on your Satellite Dish.

    By PSB Satellite

I can only talk about this product when used on a satellite dish...

Rain Fade is a BIG issue for satellite dish reception, if you have satellite I am sure you dread that heavy downpour of rain as you know what it means for satellite TV very often. LOSS OF SIGNAL : (

This is especially important in Sports Bars, Restaurants, where if the TV cuts out, they customers leave! REAL FAST I have seen this with my own eyes!

And what I have also seen with my own eyes is the difference a coating of NEVERWET makes on a satellite dish in the rain / snow.

    AMAZING!

When your dish is wet each little beadlet of water scatterers your signa/microwavesl instead of focusing them into the LNB. The result is signal loss, especially when combined with rain fade....

But if you can keep a bone dry dish (And now you can with NEVERWET) then even in the heaviest rains you will maintain signal, and if you do momentarily loose signal it will be for a FRACTION of the time an untreated dish would be down.

The only real way to judge this product is to try it....

    You will NOT be disappointed.

I come from the West coast of Scotland, so know ALL about rain fade. I spent my youth running outside to my satellite dish wiping off rain. Now living in Minnesota, this product also works amazingly well in the snow and ice. It just can't stick no matter what!

I have coated half a dish with NEVERWET and left the other half untreated.... The untreated side builds up with snow and ice over some time...... The NEVERWET side remains clear.....

Signal or no signal....... TV or no TV......

    That is the question.

    NEVERWET is the answer!

  4. WOW - This stuff is amazing

By Micki H. , reviewing color Kit

Looked for years trying to find a solution that would fix our leaky chimney. About ready to lose our minds. Then happened to see this product in a store I was shopping in. Purchased and applied it the next day. Just in time for a major thunder storm/downpour, so the timing was right for a test. Result of the test - NO LEAKS - ALL IS DRY, DRY, DRY! So verrrrrrry happy.

  5. Fabric

    By Melissa

I bought it to use on patio cushions and fabric tote bags. I used several coats of base and top and it works great but it leaves an odd feeling residue when I touch it. I would worry about that if I had small kids. I'm not going to use it on my bags after all because I don't like the feel. I am going to try it on my boots and shoes.

  6. Frosted

    By smurf

I applied NeverWet to my leather work boots. The first day I wore them to work everyone called me Papa Smurf. The frosted coating on dark leather gives a bluish tint to my boots. If you can stand the ribbing, the product does what it is made to do. Liquid rolls off my boots. Can't wait to try it in the snow.

  7. Good stuff! Don't expect the world from it though...

    By Dima

After first use and getting a general feel for applying the coats I have to say there is a small learning curve in how to apply depending on the surface type. Smooth surfaces don't need much while porous surfaces require more base coat (Can 1). There appears to be a white residue that comes off to the touch after completely cured. The base coat looks to be the main ingredient and the top coat the catalyst or reacting agent as it is mostly Acetone (so says the contents label). My experience is currently with cotton, glass, aluminum and plastic. The plastic and aluminum turned out great! Completely as expected and almost untraceable on the aluminum in regards to the hazey residue that the finish creates; one could not tell it was on plastic. The glass test adhered incredibly, but even after full 12 hour curing was quite easy to remove by simply rubbing a finger against the surface with some pressure and the membrane peels off similar to skin. The cotton test was the least impressive as it did not completely repel all droplets (though this may be attributed to first use and improper application). The majority of the cotton shirt was extremely water resistant, but water still managed to penetrated some areas very easily (possibly through exposed cotton fibers not coated or missed); the real downer is the fabric (which had started out extremely soft) became hardened\stiff. Regardless the product performs incredibly! Just as advertised. I felt the directions could answer a few more questions and be more in depth, but hey that's what you have the internet for, right? Don't expect to put this on literally everything, though, the cans say on them "contents contain a chemical know to cause cancer and birth defects". So be wary when you are using this product and ALWAYS WEAR GLOVES & A RESPIRATOR! Perfect for outdoor use but I cannot say I would use it extensively in the home. If you don't care about anything I said before just be aware: THIS WILL CHANGE HOW YOUR CLOTHES & SURFACES LOOK (unless they are fairly light-colored).
