  1. Rust-oleum Universal Metallic Spray Paint to renew bathroom

    By JB

I used this paint to change the brass shower stall to Oil Rubbed Bronze. I am in the process of changing the faucets to Oil Rubbed Bronze. This paint is fabulous. The odor is strong so be sure the area is well ventilated or use a few fans to keep the air circulating which I had to do since I have no windows in the bathroom. The only con is I cannot find a small can of touch up paint that I need for some small areas I was not able to spay well enough. Maybe Rust-oleum will produce a smaller can than a quart is the near future.

  2. This stuff is amazing!!!

    By Bryan

I bought this paint to redo my front lip on my car and it did an excellent job. The angle and how much paint comes out of the can is perfect. The best part is that it dries so smooth and uniform. I highly recommend this paint but do use primer before putting this paint on of course.

  3. Warm, rich color

    By West Sac Gal

Looking for a way to cover the ugly base of my new lamps. Tested the gold color on a cheap picture frame from Goodwill. Very fast drying. Easy to apply. If you get the coverage wrong you just put on another coat.
I have never done this type of thing and was not sure how it would come out. I was very pleased.
I took a shiny gold metallic frame and scuffed up the surface with sandpaper to get off the top coat of whatever was on it. Cleaned it, let it dry, sprayed it, let it dry, put one more coat on and voila`, a new satin gold frame. Can't wait to try it on my lamp bases. Now if only there was a true copper color. ...

  4. Refinished Old Aluminum Rim Looks New Again!

    By John R.

My wife's Pontiac Sunrunner (Tracker) aluminum rims were severely blemished from years of exposure to salt and road grime, and the clear coat was mostly peeled off. I removed one wheel and proceed to sand off the remaining clear coat finish and aluminum blemishes. Then I used a rotary wire brush to get all the crevices cleaned-up. I masked-off the perimeter of the rim with sticky masking tape and news paper, then sprayed about 5 light coats waiting a few minutes between each coat. I found when the paint initially sprays out you get some dark spots of paint come out of the can, so I would start by spraying a bit of paint onto the surrounding newspaper first, then proceeded to spray the rim. I did this for each coat to eliminate any dak paint spots. The rim turned out like brand new and has a neat, shiny, and sparkling finish. The colour resembles the original rims very nicely. The only gripe I have is with the new type of spray can nozzle, I found it difficult to hold down the spray button as compared to regular spray can buttons. Other than that, this is a terrific product that is both a primer and paint. I think one can will be sufficient to do two 15" rims. I'm curious to see how it will stand up to our upcoming sub-zero winter conditions with accompanying sand and road salt. Now all I have to do is finish the 3 remaining rims.

  5. Standing on my head to spray

By JefferGT , reviewing color Titanium Silver 245220

Paint is nice, but i had to turn the can upside down so it would spray. The nozzle clogged up fast , wouldnt spray, so i had to turn the can upside down. other than that a great product.

  6. I dislike the trigger on this can!

By taximom212 , reviewing color Dark Steel 262662

I like the paint colors they offer and the coverage is fine. The problem is that the trigger is not reliable, I have to return about 1/2 the cans I purchase. They just stop working. Also, they tend to leak, with paint dripping down the trigger and onto your hands. I would recommend you use the regular spray heads if you can find the colors. It's very frustrating.

  7. Oil Rubbed Bronze Spray Paint

By Mich , reviewing color Oil Rubbed Bronze 249131

This is AWESOME!! I sprayed the old dated door knobs and switch plate covers and they look incredible. It's easy to use, goes on evenly and has just enough of a shimmer. You truly can't tell the knobs spray painted from new ones! My new BFF!

  8. Universal Series Spray Cans

    By Mike

These spray cans are difficult and awkward to use. Regular spray cans are easier especially with the snap on spray handle which obviously won't work on these cans. Otherwise, the paint covers well and looks good (the Dark Steel Metallic). I used it over the plastic primer and got good results. Have to wait to comment on durability.

  9. very nice!

By Dane , reviewing color Aged Copper 249132

Bought this product today. Painted 2 wicker baskets....beautiful! A bathroom trashcan, that was once quite pretty with ornate carving.. with 2 coats of the aged copper now looks even better! I also painted 3 of my ac floor vents...they look awesome! Floor vents went from drab white to this very pretty aged copper. All this with 1 $8 can of rustoleum metallic . I'm painting the hardware on my bathroom cabinets next! I'm looking around my home to see what's in need of a beautiful easy updated look! I HIGHLY recommend this product!

  10. Sparkles Like Glitter

    By Copperhead

I used the Satin Nickel to paint the doorknobs in my house. Although the color is beautiful, the metal flakes are so big that it looked like I used glitter paint! This paint may be great for some things, but it you want to actually copy the look of Satin Nickel, STAY AWAY!
