  1. Find a spot outdoors and cover nearby items with drop cloths or old sheets to protect them from spray mist.
  2. If your plastic is new, wipe with Rust-Oleum® Lacquer Thinner. If it's older, clean it with soap and water and let dry.
  3. Spray a thin, even coat of Rust-Oleum® Specialty Plastic Primer Spray over the entire bench following application directions on the can.
  4. Next, spray on the Rust-Oleum® Specialty Paint for Plastic Spray in your choice of color. Follow specific application directions on the can.
  5. We recommend putting the bench aside for a few days so that the paint can really adhere to your new platic bench.
