Is it necessary to use a clay bar prior to waxing my car?
Although a clay bar isn’t necessary, cleaning the vehicle surface with a clay bar prior to application will remove embedded surface contaminants such as tree sap, bug residue, overspray, rail dust and more. Removing these contaminants will enable the Factor 4 Synthetic Wax to form a stronger bond to your car’s finish. If you do clay the surface, this should be done prior to using the Factor 4 Cleansing Wash.

What’s different or unique about the Factor 4 Deep Cleansing Wash?
The Factor 4 Deep Cleansing Wash solution plays a dual role in the process. First, it cleanses the surface, removing dirt and purging contaminants from the paint. Second, and most important, the Factor 4 Cleansing Wash creates a positive charge on the vehicle’s paint. This charge then fuses with the negative ions in the wax to create amazing shine and extreme durability.

Why do I need to leave the wash on the vehicle surface?
By leaving Factor 4 Cleansing Wash on the surface for at least 15 minutes, it allows the positive ions contained in the wash to charge the vehicles surface. The charged surface will then crosslink with the negative ions of the Factor 4 Synthetic Wax creating an ultra-durable shine and long-lasting protection.
