    What makes Restore 4X Deck Coat different from traditional solid stains?

     Restore 4X Deck Coat is an ultra solid deck coating 4X thicker than ordinary paints and solid stains.  The thickness of this coating make it ideal not only for newer wood but also to refresh moderately weathered surfaces as well.  Unlike traditional solid stains Restore 4X Deck Coat can fill hairline cracks. Restore 4X Deck Coat can also be used on broom swept concrete and most composite decking in addition to wood whereas other solid stains only work on wood.  Restore 4X Deck Coat it also features a smooth, barefoot friendly finish and long lasting protection.

    Will Restore 4X Deck Coat fill voids in wood and concrete?

    Restore 4X Deck Coat fills hairline cracks.  Larger imperfections should be filled with Restore Crack Filler prior to application.

    Does Restore 4X Deck Coat have the same feel/texture as Restore 10X Advanced Resurfacer?

    No, Restore 4X Deck Coat has a smooth finish and Restore 10X Advanced Resurfacer has textured surface.

    What surfaces can I apply Restore 4X Deck Coat to?

    Wood:  Restore 4X Deck Coat should only be applied on structurally sound wood and most composite surfaces.  Some composite decking is engineered with moisture repellants or sealers that may prevent proper adhesion.  Be sure to follow specific manufacturer’s recommendation before applying to any composite decking. 

    Concrete:
     Restore 4X Deck Coat should only be applied to structurally sound broom swept or porous concrete. 

    NOT FOR USE ON:
      Smooth or floated concrete, fiberglass, tile, and metal surfaces.  These surfaces will not allow for proper adhesion. Do not use on driveways, garages, or other areas with vehicular traffic.

    Can I use Restore 4X Deck Coat on any concrete surface?

    No.  Restore 4X Deck Coat is for use on broom swept or porous concrete surfaces only.  Do not use on smooth or floated concrete.  Do not use on driveways, garages, or other areas with vehicular traffic.
