Apply RockSolid only when air, material and floor temperatures are between 40-90°F (4-32°C). Optimal installation temperature is 55-90°F (13-32°C). Extreme cold application temperatures may slow the cure time. Do not coat the floor if it is raining or if extremely damp conditions exist. The concrete surface must be completely dry at the time of the application to achieve proper adhesion. Do not apply RockSolid when the substrate and ambient temperatures are steadily below 40°F (4°C). Minimum floor temperature for coating is 55°F (13°C). 

Prior to coating the surface, we recommend cleaning with a heavy-duty degreaser. Scrub degreaser solution into the floor with a short-bristled scrub brush to remove all surface grease, dirt, and oil. Rinse several times. Run your hand over the surface – if any residue appears on your hand, the floor should be cleaned and rinsed again until no residue is present.

The floor must be completely dry prior to coating, we recommend allowing at least eight hours of drying time. A floor squeegee may be used to remove water from the surface and help expedite drying time.

Presence of moisture and/or sealers will prevent the coating from adhering properly and may cause product failure. 

Apply a 2’ x 2’ sheet of plastic to the garage floor, tape down the edges with duct tape, and let it set for 24 hours. If water droplets form on the inside of the plastic or if the concrete appears wet (darker in color), moisture is trapped in the floor and it should not be painted or coated until the moisture issue is resolved.
