Bright and colorful murals were painted on gas storage tanks to mark the 200th anniversary of the country’s first gas company, located in Baltimore, Maryland mural art included a nod to the Star Spangled Banner, blue crabs and thoroughbred horse racing. Visible to tens of thousands of motorists each day, the paint color needs to stay vibrant and withstand rough weather and environmental conditions. The coating needs to last at least ten years without showing significant wear.
