This chalkboard globe is a unique decoration for your living room and a fun way to show off your favorite places to travel (or to dream about, anyways).

  1. PREPARE: Always work in a well ventilated area and cover nearby items with a drop cloth to protect them from overspray. Clean the globe with a lint free cloth and tape off the globe's frame and base.
  2. PAINT: Shake your can of Chalkboard spray paint for 1 minute after the mixing ball begins to rattle. Hold the paint can 10-12” from the surface of the globe and spray in a steady back-and-forth motion, slightly overlapping each stroke. Apply 2-3 light coats 10 minutes apart to build the finish. Ensure each coat is fully dry before applying another.
  3. FINISH: Let the chalkboard paint dry for approximately 1-2 hours. Then, remove the painter’s tape. Let the globe dry completely for 3 days. After 3 days, condition the chalkboard surface by rubbing a piece of chalk over the entire area and erasing.

Now decorate your globe with a fun drawing or message and put it on display! What fun projects have you done with chalkboard paint? Share your latest masterpiece with us!
