Before

A fresh coat of paint and some new hardware are all it takes to transform an old desk into one that looks new. See how Rust-Oleum Milk Paint Finish gave this traditional desk an updated yet vintage look.

Step 1: Remove all old hardware.

Step 2: Lightly sand off the old finish.

Step 3: Gently stir the can of
Rust-Oleum Milk Paint Finish (we used the color Navy) with a stir stick and apply it to the desk with a high-quality paint brush. Make brush strokes in a "V" pattern to maximize coverage.

Step 4: Let the Rust-Oleum Milk Paint dry for approximately 30-60 minutes.

Step 5: Apply a second coat of milk paint, if needed, after 1 hour. Let paint dry for approximately 1 hour before handling.

Step 6: Attach new hardware and enjoy!
