Turn your backyard into a trendy outdoor entertainment space with this easy DIY pallet bar project using Varathane Stain and Rust-Oleum Stops Rust Spray Paint

1. If your pallet is dirty, we recommend cleaning off the dirt and debris with Krud Kutter Original Cleaner Degreaser. Sand pallet with 80 – 100 grit sandpaper if needed and remove sanding dust.
2. Ensure you’re in a well ventilated space and cover your painting area with a drop cloth or Kraft paper. Shake the Zinsser Coverstain Turbo Primer can vigorously for one minute after the mixing ball begins to rattle. Hold the can upright 18-24” from the surface and spray, keeping the can in motion, while using even strokes, slightly overlapping each one for best coverage.  
3. Following the directions on the can, apply Stops Rust Gloss Protective Enamel and let dry for 5-9 hours before handling and 24 hours before full use.
4. With a lint-free cloth, generously apply Varathane Premium Fast Dry Wood Stain onto wood bar top. Let sit for 2 – 3 minutes, based on the richness of color you prefer. 
5. Wipe off excess stain in direction of the wood grain with a clean lint-free cloth and let wood stain dry for one hour. 
6. Following the instructions on the can, apply Varathane Spar Urethane in light coats to protect your project from UV fading, scratches and spills.
7. Drill painted pallets together with 1 1/2” screws and attach stained bar top with 2 inch metal L brackets and 5/8” screws.
