Christmas Nutcrackers

+
Christmas nutcrackers painted in solid red, green and white and displayed on a mantle.

Give Christmas nutcrackers a fresh appearance with a few coats of Rust-Oleum Spray Paint. Tuck them into your Christmas tree or cluster them on your fireplace mantle for some extra holiday cheer.

PREPARE: Always work in a ventilated area and cover your surroundings with a drop cloth to protect them from overspray. Wipe down the nutcrackers with a lint-free cloth to remove any dirt or dust.

PAINT: Shake your can of Rust-Oleum Painter's Touch® 2X Ultra Cover ® Gloss Spray Paint (we used Gloss Apple Red, Gloss Meadow Green and Gloss White) for one minute after the mixing ball begins to rattle. Hold the can 10-16” from the nutcrackers and spray in a steady, back-and-forth motion, slightly overlapping each stroke. For best results, apply two or more light coats a few minutes apart.

FINISH: Let the nutcrackers dry for one hour before displaying them.
Once your Christmas nutcrackers are completely dry, get creative and place them throughout your home for hints of holiday cheer.

TIP: For a fun twist, add a decorative note card and use your nutcrackers as festive DIY place card holders at the dinner table.
