PREPARE: Always work in a well-ventilated area and use a drop cloth to protect from overspray. Remove any loose paint from your metal stocking holders with sandpaper. Then, wipe them down with a lint-free cloth to remove any dirt or dust.

PRIME: Shake your can of Rust-Oleum® Stop Rust® Clean Metal Primer for one minute after the mixing ball starts to rattle. Then, hold the can 10-16” away and spray the stocking holders in a steady, sweeping motion. Apply two or more light coats of primer to the metal stocking holders allowing a few minutes in between each coat.

PAINT: Next, shake your can of Rust-Oleum® Stops Rust® Metallic Spray Paint in Apple Red for one minute after the mixing ball starts to rattle. With the same technique you used to prime, spray two or more light coats onto the stocking holders. 

FINISH: Let them dry completely for 24 hours.
