Tree Branch Décor

Blue Spray Painted Tree Branch Centerpiece with Decorative Bird and Nest

You can make this creative tree branch centerpiece with just a few simple supplies. Here’s how we turned a tree branch into décor in three easy steps.

PREPARE: Choose a sturdy tree branch that’s the right size for your table and sits well on its side. Find a well-ventilated area to work in and cover your surroundings with a drop cloth to protect them from overspray.

PAINT: Shake your can of Rust-Oleum 2X Ultra Cover Spray Paint (we used the color Gloss Seaside) for about 1 minute after the mixing ball starts to rattle. Hold the can 10-16” away from the branch, and spray in sweeping motion. Apply 2-3 light, even coats to the branch, allowing a few minutes in between each coat. Let the branch dry completely for 24 hours.

FINISH: Once the branch is dry, use extra-strength glue to attach the bird and bird’s nest to the branch. Display your tree branch décor on a table, alongside a jar filled with fresh flowers.
