Milk Paint Tablescape

+
Table with white plates, white candlesticks with green candles and a centerpiece of yellow flowers in a copper pitcher sitting on a black trivet.

The matte, brushed look of Rust-Oleum Milk Paint Finish gives an antique look to any decorative piece. Just brush on in light coats for a durable, long-lasting finish.

  1. Make sure all items are clean and free of dust, dirt and grime.
  2. Over a drop cloth, stir the can of Rust-Oleum Milk Paint Finish with a stir stick.
  3. Apply a light coat to your surface, brushing in a “V” pattern to achieve a washed look.
  4. Apply multiple coats to achieve desired coverage, waiting 30 minutes in between coats.
  5. Allow the Milk Paint Finish to dry for approximately 1 hour before handling.

Tip: To create a color wash effect, mix 4 parts water and 1 part desired Milk Paint Finish color. Apply color wash over Milk Paint Finish painted surface using smooth brushstrokes. If necessary, remove excess color wash by wiping the surface with a cloth. Allow to dry 30 minutes. To create a deeper color wash effect, apply a second coat.
