Give your room a spooky look with some DIY Halloween mantel decor. We painted decorative pumpkins, skulls and other pieces black, white and metallic gold to achieve this spooktacular fireplace mantel.

Make sure each prop is clean and dry. Lightly scuff any glossy surfaces so the paint adheres better. Wipe off any sanding residue with a lint-free cloth.

Working outdoors and over a drop cloth, start applying spray paint in desired colors to each prop, following the instructions on the can. 

Let each prop dry for 1 hour before handling.
