Spray painted hardware can help make your kitchen look new again. Give your kitchen a facelift with just a few coats of Rust-Oleum Universal Spray Paint that coordinates with the color of your faucet.
Remove all hardware from the cabinets and place them on a drop cloth in a well-ventilated area. Cover the surrounding area with Kraft paper, plastic or a drop cloth.
Shake the can of Rust-Oleum Universal Metallic Spray Paint (we used Satin Bronze) vigorously for one minute after the mixing ball begins to rattle. Next, hold the spray paint can upright 8-12 inches from hardware and apply the paint in a steady, back-and forth motion, slightly overlapping each stroke. Keep the can the same distance from the surface and in motion while in use.
Apply two or more light coats of spray paint a few minutes apart for best results. The paint will be dry to touch in 30 minutes, to handle in 1 hour, and fully dry in 24 hours. Recoat within 1 hour or after 48 hours.
Once the last coat of spray paint is dry, reattach the painted hardware to your cabinet doors and drawers.
