Patio Furniture Refresh

+

Is your outdoor patio furniture worse for wear? Bring pride back to your patio. Refresh your faded fabrics and tired table to get your patio summer ready!

  1. Make sure your metal furniture is thoroughly clean and dry and any loose paint is removed with a wire brush. We recommend Krud Kutter Original Cleaner Degreaser to ensure your surface is clean and prepped for painting.
  2. Use paint primer to cover the furniture’s current color before painting. Before you use primer, ensure you're in a well-ventilated area, such as a garage, and cover your painting area with a drop cloth or Kraft paper. Shake the Zinsser Bulls Eye 1-2-3 Turbo primer spray can vigorously for one minute after the mixing ball begins to rattle. Hold the primer spray can upright 18-24" from the surface and start spraying. Keep the can in motion while using even strokes. Slightly overlap each stroke for the best coverage.
  3. Following the directions on the can, apply Rust-Oleum Stops Rust Metallic Spray Paint. Let dry for 2-4 hours before handling and 24 hours before full use.
  4. For additional protection, apply a top coat such as Rust-Oleum Stops Rust Turbo Clear Enamel within 1 hour or after 48 hours after applying the colored spray paint.
  5. Do you have faded patio cushions? Use Rust-Oleum Outdoor Fabric Paint to make them look brand new. Our Patio Cushion Refresh project provides instructions.
