Premium Gel Stain

Varathane® Premium Gel Stain provides excellent coverage on a variety of surfaces. The thick gel stain formula won’t drip or run, making it ideal for vertical surfaces such as doors, window trim, furniture, veneer and more. It enhances the wood grain of natural wood. This oil-based gel stain can also be used to give fiberglass or composite doors the appearance of natural wood.  

• Gel stain can be used on interior surfaces as well as exterior surfaces when an appropriate topcoat is applied.  
• Thicker consistency prevents drips and runs. 
• Leaves no lap marks or grain raise. 
• Comes in a variety of gel stain colors.

For Best Results 

• Sand wood surfaces before applying gel stain. Ensure surfaces are free of dust, dirt, grease and glue. 
• Remove excess stain from wood surfaces. Do not remove stain from other surfaces. 
• Test the stain on an inconspicuous part of your project to ensure color and substrate compatibility. 
• For long-term protection and durability, top gel stain with a Varathane polyurethane or spar urethane.
