Total Control Gel Stain

Varathane® Total Control Gel Stain is a fast-drying, water-based stain that provides rich, even color. This easy-to-use gel stain is ideal for both horizontal and vertical surfaces and can be applied to a variety of surfaces such as wood, metal, fiberglass and more. Varathane Total Control Gel Stain has a thick consistency that will not drip or run. This low-odor formula cleans up easily with soap and water and can be used on both interior and exterior projects.

• Perfect for use on furniture, doors, trim and banisters. Not recommended for floors, decks or siding.

For Best Results:

• Sand wood surfaces before applying gel stain. Ensure surface is free of dust, dirt, grease and glue.
• Pre-treat wood surfaces with Varathane Water-Based Pre-Stain Wood Conditioner.
• Remove excess stain from wood surfaces; do not remove stain from other surfaces.
• Do not apply directly over ferrous metals.
• Test the stain on an inconspicuous part of your project to ensure color and substrate compatibility.
• Topcoat your project with a Varathane polyurethane or spar urethane for ultimate protection.
