Satin Navy Chairs project After

Add character to your kitchen set with Stops Rust’s gorgeous new color, Satin Classic Navy. This navy hue is the perfect way to add a subtle touch of color to traditionally neutral pieces—like your kitchen chairs. Here’s how to get this look in a few steps.

  1. PREPARE: Setup your workspace in a well-ventilated area and use a drop cloth to protect from overspray. Wipe the chairs down with a tack cloth to remove any dirt or dust. Then, use painter’s tape and masking paper to mask off any parts of the chairs that you don’t want to paint.
  2. PRIME: Shake your can of Stops Rust Universal Bonding Primer for one minute after the mixing ball starts to rattle. Then, hold the can 10-16” away from the chair and spray in a steady sweeping motion. Spray a few light coats. Then, repeat on the other chairs.
  3. PAINT: Shake your can of Stops Rust Satin Enamel spray paint in Classic Navy for one minute after the mixing ball starts to rattle. Then, hold the can 10-16” away from the surface and spray in a steady sweeping motion over the chair. Spray 2-3 light coats, allowing a few minutes in between each. Then, repeat this step on the other chairs.
  4. FINISH: Let the chairs dry completely for 24 hours before using.
