Find a spot outdoors and cover nearby items with drop cloths to protect them from spray mist.
Remove the old hardware from the file drawers and spray with the Rust-Oleum® Specialty Stainless Steel paint. Be sure to follow application and dry directions on the product.
While the hardware is drying, spray the fronts of the file drawers with Rust-Oleum® Stops Rust® Protective Enamel Spray in Sail Blue. Follow the directions on the paint can and let dry.
Now for the fun part. Spray on the Rust-Oleum® Specialty Chalkboard Spray paint to the entire cabinet. You'll want to use a small roller if you're brushing on the paint. Let dry.
Put all of the pieces back together. Before you start using the chalkboard, be sure to prepare the surface by rubbing chalk over it and erasing.
This is a perfect spot for filing important things as well as keeping an updated to do list.
