Halloween Wreath

Add some “eek!” to your front door with this easy-to-make Halloween wreath. Follow the steps below to craft a custom Halloween wreath complete with glittery spiders.

Prepare: When using spray paint, always work in a well-ventilated area and cover your surroundings with a drop cloth. Wrap your wreath mold in a patterned ribbon of your choice. Wipe down your wood pieces with a microfiber cloth to remove dirt and dust.

Glitter: Now, it’s time to paint your letters! First, shake your can of Rust-Oleum Glitter spray paint for one minute after the mixing ball starts to rattle. Hold the can upright 12-14” away from the letters, and spray in a sweeping motion. Apply two or more light coats a few minutes apart. Repeat this process for the craft foam balls, which will become your spiders, using Rust-Oleum Glitter in Midnight Black. Let everything dry for about 20 minutes.

Seal: Once the letters and craft foam are completely coated and dry, apply Rust-Oleum Glitter Clear Sealer to each piece, using the same technique mentioned above. Then, allow everything dry for at least an hour.

Assemble: Cut pipe cleaners to desired length and insert them into the craft foam to create spider legs. Once spiders are assembled, follow the directions on your extra-strength glue’s label to attach the letters and spiders to the wreath. We recommend DAP adhesive products.
