If you’re building a she shed, you want to make sure it looks great for years to come. RockSolid 2X Solid Stain is a durable, waterproof coating that resists harsh weather and puts the finishing touch on a wooden she shed in just one coat. Our blogger partners at Fancy Farmgirls used RockSolid 2X Solid Stain in white to give this she shed a timeless look.
- Make sure your surfaces are clean, free of dirt, grease, mildew and organic growth. Loose paint should be scraped off. Secure raised nail heads, deck screws or loose boards. Remove loose splinters. Apply painter's tape to any areas you don't want to paint.
- Apply RockSolid Deck Start Wood Primer, following the instructions on the can.
- Thoroughly stir RockSolid 2X Solid Stain before and during project. When using more than one container, combine them into one large container to ensure color consistency. Apply the stain generously and in a consistent patter using either a 3/8” nap roller, a short nap stain pad or a synthetic paint brush. Work along a wet edge at all times.
- Allow 2-4 hours to dry to touch. Allow to dry 24 hours before light foot traffic and 48 hours before replacing furniture. Clean up using mild soap and water.
