Painted Flower Pots

+
Potted plants and gardening tools on an outdoor shelving unit.

Painted flower pots can add visual appeal to your backyard patio or deck. Choose a few complementary Rust-Oleum spray paint colors and see how painted pots bring your outdoor space to life.

  1. Clean and dry each flower pot. Apply painter's tape to any areas of the pots you don't want to paint.
  2. Place your pots on a drop cloth and apply Rust-Oleum 2X Ultra Cover White Primer in light coats, following the directions on the can.
  3. Decorate each pot in the spray paint color and finish of your choice, according to the instructions on each can. For this project, we chose Rust-Oleum 2X Ultra Cover Spray Paint in Satin Midnight Blue and Gloss Pink Peony, Rust-Oleum Stops Rust Protective Enamel Spray Paint in Tuscan Sun and Rust-Oleum Universal Metallic Spray Paint in Satin Bronze.
  4. Let the flower pots dry and wait 24 hours before full use.
