Before

Blogger Project – A painted tile floor changes the whole look of your room. Rachael from Banyan Bridges gave her bathroom a modern look with a fresh coat of Rust-Oleum HOME floor paint and stenciled painted designs.

  1. Make sure your floor is clean of dirt and debris and dry.
  2. Apply painter's tape along the border edges and anywhere you don't want to paint.
  3. Apply Rust-Oleum HOME Floor Coating Base Coat in 4’x4’ sections, and maintain a wet edge while rolling. Do not let the floor paint puddle. After applying one coat of paint to the entire floor, wait 6 hours before making any necessary touch-ups or adding the protective top coat. Let touched-up areas dry to the touch (1-2 hours)
  4. To add a geometic design to the floor, apply a second color of Rust-Oleum HOME Floor Coating to shapes created with stencils or painter’s tape. Let the painted designed dry for 1-2 hours before applying Rust-Oleum HOME Top Coat in 4’x4’ sections, maintaining a wet edge while rolling. Do not let the top coat puddle. One coat is recommended. If a second coat is desired for additional durability or uniformity, wait until the first coat is dry to touch (1-2 hours) before applying. The top coat must be applied within 24 hours.
  5. Let the floor paint to dry for 24 hours before allowing light foot traffic. Allow 72 hours before replacing furniture (avoid dragging). The tile floor paint will be fully cured in 7 days. Wait until the paint has cured before washing.
