Let's begin by setting up a work space in the backyard or garage by draping a few drop cloths over your favorite belongings and scurrying, furry pets. It's always best to be creative in the great outdoors, but if you work inside, open windows and use fans.
Remove rush chair seat, knobs and drawers. Sand all wood surfaces that are to be painted, and remove residue with a damp paper towel.
If your pieces are made of inexpensive wood or are already covered with a dark paint, you may want to apply the Rust-Oleum® Painter's® Touch Ultra Cover 2X Primer Spray to the surface. Follow directions and dry times on can.
Place knobs on plastic wrap and apply a Rust-Oleum® Painter's® Touch Ultra Cover 2X Satin Spray in Satin Nutmeg to their entire surface as well as to the top part of the desk.
Once dray, continue with the bottom half of the desk using Satin Canyon Black.
Working with one color at a time, apply masking tape to either side of the chair areas to be painted Satin Claret Wine. Tuck plastic wrap under tape, exposing only those areas to be painted first.
Repeat masking and painting process for those areas of the chair to be painted with the Satin Claret Wine. Reapply until you're oh-so-happy with the glorious finish.
When everything is sufficiently dry, replace drawers, knobs and seat and sit down to begin that novel you've always wanted to write.
