Blogger Project - Take on this porch redo with your hubby for a DIY date! Do this together in an afternoon with RockSolid Decorative Concrete Coating. Because four hands are better than two! See how Ashley and her husband tackled this project on At Home With Ashley.
- Clear and clean the existing porch with a broom, vacuum and mild detergent. Let it dry thoroughly and mask off any places you don't want to coat.
- Pour a small amount of the Decorative Concrete Coating directly onto the surface. Apply in 4x4 foot sections and back roll in the opposite direction with the 9" roller to ensure a thin, even coat. Maintain a wet edge to prevent lap marks and gloss variations. Roll slowly and apply light pressure. Apply two coats for optimal coverage and durability.
- Remove the painter's tape and kraft paper and let the porch dry to the touch in 2 hours. It can be recoated in 3-4 hours. The surface should be ready for foot traffic in 24 hours. Wait 7 days for full cure.
