PAINTING

A front porch with nautical décor, including an anchor wreath on the front door and wooden oars next to the door.

AFTER

Use Stops Rust with Custom Spray 5-in-1 to create a summer wreath with an anchor that adds a nautical touch to your front porch décor. We used two spray paint settings to paint different parts of the anchor.

  1. Working in a well-ventilated area, shake your can of Rust-Oleum Stops Rust with Custom Spray 5-in-1 for one minute after the mixing ball begins to rattle. We used the color Satin Peaceful Blue here.
  2. To spray paint the long, straight pieces of your anchor, switch the custom spray paint dial from the lock position to the Standard #2 setting. Hold the can 8-12” from the surface and spray in a steady, back-and-forth motion, slightly overlapping each stroke.
  3. To spray paint the chain and inner corners of the anchor, switch the spray paint dial to the Low Output #3 setting. Hold the can 3-6” from the surface and apply the spray paint. Let dry.
  4. Attach pieces of driftwood and decorative rope to your wreath frame with hot glue. Finish by attaching your painted anchor and hanging the completed summer wreath on your front door.
