AFTER

Looking to update your office? Spray paint an old metal chair to give it a bright new look!

  1. Choose a well-ventilated area to work and cover the space with a drop cloth to prevent overspray. Make sure your metal chair is clean and dry before painting.
  2. Shake your can of Rust-Oleum Stops Rust Universal Bonding Primer for one minute after the mixing ball begins to rattle. Hold the can 10-16” from the surface of the chair and spray in a steady, back-and-forth motion with slightly overlapping strokes.
  3. Following the directions on the can, apply Rust-Oleum Stops Rust Protective Enamel Spray Paint (we used the color Gloss Sunburst Yellow). A second coat can be applied within the hour or after 48 hours. Let your painted chair dry for 5-9 hours before handling and 24 hours before full use.
Tip: Rust-Oleum Stops Rust Universal Bonding Primer works great on hard-to-coat surfaces, including galvanized metal.
