Have an outdated bathroom floor? Instead of replacing it, use bathroom floor paint to give it a fresh new look. Rust-Oleum HOME Floor Coating is easy to use and delivers a durable finish.
- Make sure your bathroom floor is clean of dirt and debris and dry.
- Apply painter's tape along the border edges and anywhere you don't want to paint.
- Apply the base coat of Rust-Oleum HOME Floor Coating in 4’x4’ sections, and maintain a wet edge while rolling. Do not let the floor paint puddle. After applying one coat of floor paint, let it dry for 6 hours before making any necessary touch-ups. Let touched-up areas dry to the touch (1-2 hours) before applying Rust-Oleum HOME Top Coat. If no touch-ups are necessary, apply the top coat 6 hours after applying the floor paint.
- Apply Rust-Oleum HOME Top Coat in 4’x4’ sections, and maintain a wet edge while rolling. Do not let the top coat puddle. One coat is recommended. If a second coat is desired for additional durability or uniformity, wait until the first coat is dry to the touch (1-2 hours) before applying. The optional second coat must be applied within 24 hours of the first coat.
- Let the bathroom floor paint and top coat to dry for 24 hours before allowing light foot traffic. Wait 72 hours before replacing furniture (avoid dragging). The floor paint will be fully cured in 7 days. Do not wash the painted floor until it is fully cured.
