Making your own spell books is as easy as magic. Follow these steps to create potion and spell books for festive Halloween decorations.  

1. Use hot glue to attach scrapbook embellishments and dimensional designs to exterior of book. Let fully dry.
2. Work in a well-ventilated space and following instructions on the can as you apply Rust-Oleum® Imagine Color Shift Black Basecoat to exterior of books. Let dry.
3. Apply Color Shift spray paint in the color of your choice over the black basecoat. Let dry according to the timing on the can instructions.
4. For added dimension, lightly dry brush Testors Metallic Finish Acrylic Craft Paint over decorative raised accents on book.
5. Display your spell books!

For a different look, use Rust-Oleum Chalked spray paint on your books and lightly sand for a distressed finish.
