Spray Painted Pegboard

A spray painted pegboard is an easy and affordable way to add function and style to your home office. Follow these simple steps to paint your own pegboard using Rust-Oleum 2X Ultra Cover Spray Paint.

Step 1: Vigorously shake your can of 2X Ultra Cover Spray Paint (we used Gloss Navy Blue) for one minute after mixing ball begins to rattle. Shake the can often during use.

Step 2: Prop the pegboard up before painting to ensure even coverage and prevent clogs inside the holes. Working over a drop cloth in a well-ventilated area, hold the paint can upright, 10-16" from the pegboard, and spray in a steady, back-and forth motion. Slightly overlap each stroke. Keep the paint can the same distance from the surface and in motion while spraying.

Step 3: Apply 2 or more light coats of spray paint a few minutes apart to avoid drips and runs.

Step 4: Let the pegboard dry for approximately 1 hour before handling.
