Getting that weathered wood look is easy with Varathane Weathered Wood Accelerator. With a  dry time of approximately one hour, you can bring the natural look of weathered wood to any piece of furniture.

PREPARE: Prepare bare wood by sanding in the direction of the grain with #100 grit sandpaper. Remove any dust with a clean, dry rag. Stir the Wood Accelerator thoroughly before and occasionally during use.

APPLY: Apply the Wood Accelerator to the entire project with a synthetic bristle brush, in the direction of the grain. Let dry one hour before applying a second coat, or a top coat.

FINISH: A protective finish can be applied after 2 hours. We recommend using a lacquer, such as Watco Lacquer, for furniture or cabinetry.

TIP:
For a lighter effect, apply product and wipe away immediately or lightly sand the finish with fine grit sandpaper once it is dry. To darken, a second coat can be applied after 1 hour.
