DIY Aged Wood Wall Shelves After

Wood shelves don't have to look ordinary. They can look like they've been aged in nature in just minutes! Farmhouse Features did this project on Instagram. See this project for DIY inspiration. 

  1. Lightly sand the pieces of wood to create smooth surface. 
  2. Lightly stir the can of Aged Wood Accelerator.                                                                                                                    
  3. With a 2" foam brush, apply the Aged Wood Accelerator to the bare wood, following the directions on the can. 
  4. Let the Aged Wood Accelerator dry for approximately 1 hour.
  5. Apply the Ultimate Polyurethane with a foam brush following the directions on the label.
  6. For the smoothest finish, lightly sand the polyurethane finish between coats. A minimum of 3 coats are recommended. 
  7. Let the polyurethane dry completely for 24 hours.
  8. Attach the brackets and hang your shelves on the wall.
