Glitter Spray Paint Centerpiece

+
Silver and gold glitter spray painted centerpieces

  1. Find a spot outside and cover nearby items with drop cloths or old sheets to protect them from spray paint mist.
  2. Wipe off the outside of each glass vase with denatured alcohol using a lint-free cloth.
  3. Allow the vases to dry fully.
  4. Use painter’s tape to tape off the top section of each vase, leaving half of the vase exposed.
  5. Apply Rust-Oleum® Gold Glitter Spray Paint or your color choice to the exposed area.
  6. Hold the spray paint can 12-14” from the surface. Press the spray button and begin covering the surface in a steady back-and-forth motion, slightly overlapping each stroke.
  7. Apply 2 or more medium coats at a moderate speed. For best results, do not apply heavy coats as it will lead to drip, sags and tackiness.
  8. Allow to dry overnight.
  9. Once dry, tape off half of the gold glittered area with painter’s tape and spray over the exposed gold area with the silver glitter spray paint, covering some of the gold more fully than the rest to create an ombre effect.
  10. Allow to dry overnight.
  11. Once dry, apply the Rust-Oleum® Glitter Clear Sealer to the vase.
  12. Allow to dry 2-4 hours.
  13. Once dry, fill your centerpieces with either candles or flowers and place them on display.
