Farmhouse Table Makeover After
Farmhouse Table Makeover After Farmhouse Table Makeover Before

Change the look of an old table and chairs set with some new paint and wood stain. Go from dark to farmhouse white with a few simple steps. Be inspired by this project on The Sincere Mama's Instagram.

  1. With a sander, remove the old wood stain from the top of the table and create a smooth finish.
  2. Wipe away any sanding residue with a tack cloth.
  3. Tape off any areas of the table and chairs you don't want to paint.
  4. Gently stir the can of Stops Rust Protective Enamel paint and apply and dry according to the directions on the can.
  5. After about 20 minutes, apply the wood stain to the top portion of the table following the directions on the can.
  6. Wipe away any excess stain with a clean lint-free cloth.
  7. Once the paint has dried for 1 hour, apply a minimum of 3 coats of polyurethane, according to the directions on the can.
  8. Let the polyurethane topcoat dry for 24 hours before full use to maximize scratch and stain resistance.
